Jiah Khan, known to many as Nafisa Khan, has reportedly committed suicide on June 3rd. According to Police sources, she was apparently a bit depressed due to personal issues. The officials have confirmed that there was no suicide note at the suicide spot and that the body has been sent for postmortem to the Cooper Hospital.
The talented British-Indian actress has her family in Chelsea and used to stay in Juhu, Mumbai. She had a degree in acting from the reputed Lee Strasberg Academy of Dramatic Arts, New York.
For those who do not know, Jiah khan made her big Bollywood debut in 2007, in the controversial film Nishabd, opposite Amitabh Bachchan. She was nominated for FilmFare Best Debutant that year. Over the last couple of years, Jiah was part of the Aamir Khan starrer Ghajini, which was a huge commercial hit at the Box Office. Later in 2010, she was even part of Housefull. The film was directed by Sajid Khan and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. That was her last project in Bollywood. According to sources, Jiah Khan was keen to make a Bollywood return and was in talks with many film-makers.
Jiah Khan would always be remembered for her attitude, sex appeal and confidence. The Bollywood film industry seems to have been shocked by the events of late last night.
